A beautiful blend of gentle yoga postures for a balanced practice

Both beginning and more advanced yogis can benefit from a Gentle Yoga practice. This style of yoga emphasizes deep breathing & quiet reflection, allows us to come away from the mat feeling stronger & more flexible in our bodies, encourages mental relaxation & leaves us feeling spiritually rejuvenated. Gentle Yoga calms the nervous system by the way in which it helps to release stress, physical & mental tensions & overall anxiety.
This Gentle yoga class is performed at a slower pace and allows time in each
position to breathe & deepen stretches. There will be plenty of time for
meditation, yogic breath work, & relaxation. Cathy encourages modifications & variations
to make each pose accessible for everyone, regardless of their level of experience. Gentle Yoga can be practiced by just about anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. It's a great choice for anyone who does not feel flexible or for those who may be recovering from injuries, experiencing chronic pain, mobility or health issues.

NAMASTE VINYASA

Namaste Vinyasa is a "Flow-Style" yoga practice where postures and the movements in between are linked together into a beautiful sequence by the breath.​

Flow yoga can improve your strength, flexibility, cardiovascular function, enhance balance & improve coordination. In addition to strengthening the physical body in many ways, Namaste Vinyasa can help to lighten the burden of everyday stressors, elevate ones mood and relieve mental tensions so that life feels more manageable - even after the practice has ended. Debbie's classes are suitable for students with all levels of experience. Modifications and variations will always be offered in a way that makes each pose and every class accessible for all who would like to participate, regardless of individual needs and/or fitness level. Debbie cannot wait to share time and space with you!
Quiet Strength is a Qigong & TaiChi class taught by Alex Sorbello. This class meets on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 AM. To register, you must contact Alex directly by following the link below. A keypad code is required to enter the building, so be sure to register ahead of time to get those instructions. Lastly, you will want to arrive at least a few minutes before class to give you time to get settled in.

YIN FLOW & YOGA NIDRA

Yin yoga is a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga that focuses on the body’s deep connective tissues like ligaments, tendons and fascia. The postures are held for an extended period of time, usually between 2-5 minutes (but sometimes longer) to target these tissues and to give the practitioner ample time to tune into their body and mind. Although the benefits can be felt after just one class, a regular yin practice can help to reduce stress, improve quality of sleep, increase joint range of motion and flexibility, manage chronic pain, increase the flow of chi (vital life-force energy) and so much more!

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation that originated in India and is believed to be as old or even older than yoga itself! Clinical neuroimaging studies have been conducted and reveal how this practice increases cerebral blood flow and can also improve the way we release dopamine. When it comes to Yoga Nidra, this information is just the tip of the iceberg; there are many incredible benefits to cultivating a regular practice!

Together, the soothing nature of Yin Yoga and the healing benefits of Yoga Nidra make for a very well-rounded practice. Each session will enhance your awareness of the body’s subtle energy while bringing harmony to the body, mind & spirit.

Through proper breathing, mindful alignment and sequenced yoga postures, Shine On will leave you feeling awake, clear and energized.

Awareness to the breath is directly related to physical & mental wellness by bringing more oxygen into the body to lower stress levels, improve lung function, reduce blood pressure and improve sleep. The more we breathe, the better we feel.

Alignment is also a crucial aspect of our state of being. An aligned spine provides a clear pathway for the body's subtle energy (prana or qi) to flow through. When subtle energy flows more freely, we feel more energized, clear and present. This late morning yoga practice will always give you just what you need to inspire your day.

JUST FLOW WITH IT
(Mostly Flow with a little bit of Yin)

Welcome to this Friday evening yoga practice. This class is sequenced with all levels in mind and is a great fit for anyone with any level of experience - even for those who are brand new! We set the tone for this 75-90 minute yoga class, by feeling into the body, cultivating awareness of the breath and by becoming acquainted with the present moment. These elements, among others, create a solid foundation for the practice and offer much benefit even off of the mat.

After sufficiently warming the body, we will move into a series of standing and balance postures to challenge the physical body & mind. This aspect of class will consist of slowly flowing postures linked together by the breath and are infused with cues to help each practitioner attain proper alignment. Beyond the more energetic & uplifting postures, we finally ease our way back down onto the mat & wind things down with gentle, cooling movements. During this time, you can expect a few yin yoga poses to benefit the connective tissues of the body.
If you are looking to build physical strength, increase your flexibility, experience greater joint range of motion, cultivate mental resilience and so much more, this is the class you’re looking for!

SUNDAY SLOW FLOW

Dynamic movement linked by breath, infused with conscious cues & full of present moment awareness
Awaken and align your spirit with this 75-90 minute all-levels practice. Conscious Flow will unfold very similarly to Rock Asana, however, there will be much more of an emphasis on moving in a mindful way and resting your awareness in the present moment. This practice will undoubtedly bring you into a higher state of consciousness and deepen your understanding of what it means to be fully alive in each moment. Conscious Flow is designed to uplift your spirit and bring you into a higher vibration while helping you to truly experience the only place where life happens - right here, right now and in this very moment.

INNER HARMONY

Experience Inner Harmony through the practice of yin yoga. Yin yoga is often referred to as the Fountain of Youth practice for the way that it can slow down and reverse the aging process when practiced regularly. It does this by freeing up the physical body by reducing chronic pain and providing deep nourishment to the body's ligaments, tendons, fascia & even the bones. In addition to the physical healing that can occur with regular practice & positive thinking, yin yoga stimulates the flow of subtle energy throughout the body. This energy is also known as chi and/or prana; both of which translates to vital life force. When we stimulate our vital life force through the yin yoga postures we take, it flows much more freely and offers us an opportunity to live a life of joy and vitality.
