MONDAYS at 11:00 AM

Gentle Yoga

With Cathy

( 75 Minutes )

A beautiful blend of gentle yoga postures for a balanced practice

Beginners and advanced yogis all benefit from a Gentle yoga practice, with
its emphasis on breathing and quiet reflection, allowing us to come away
feeling flexible and stronger in our bodies, relaxed in our minds, spiritual
rejuvenation, and calmed in our nervous systems by releasing stress and
anxiety - these are some of the rewards of this yoga practice.
This Gentle yoga is performed at a slower pace, and allowing time in each
position to breathe and deepen stretches and extended time for
meditation, yogic breath work, and relaxation. I encourage modifications
since everyone’s range of motion is different and this class can be
practiced by just about anyone, regardless of age or physical condition. It
is especially great for people with injuries, pain, mobility or health issues.
And finally, a gentle yoga practice is a great choice for anyone who is
afraid they are not fit or flexible enough to do typical yoga poses.

Quiet Strength is a Qigong & TaiChi class taught by Alex Sorbello. This class meets on on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 AM. To register, you must contact Alex directly by following the link below. Please feel free to register ahead of time or just show up no later than 9:30 AM.

WEDNESDAYS at 5:45 PM

GO WITHYIN

 ( 75 - 90 Minutes )

A meditative & nurturing yin practice for the connective tissues, joints, & subtle energy

Yin yoga is slow, meditative, and offers much time for reflection. This style of yoga is suitable for most levels of practitioner and no experience required.

Most poses are achieved while down on the mat and usually held anywhere between 2-5 minutes. The emphasis is placed on easing into the pose until resistance is met. This resistance is referred to as the "edge." Once the edge is approached, the practitioner softens the muscles and completely relaxes into the posture. The body & mind become very still for the duration of the pose.

By becoming still, softening into the pose, and remaining there for a period of time

allows access to deep, connective tissues (ligaments, tendons, fascia, and even the bones) that reside beneath the muscle.

Yin is often compared to receiving acupuncture in the way that it also balances the body's subtle energy system and clears energetic blockages by helping prana or qi (chi) to flow freely.

THURSDAYS at 11:00 AM

SHINE ON

 ( 75 Minutes )

A late morning practice that will always give you just what you need to inspire your day

Shine On combines pranayama (breathing exercises), mindful alignment and heart opening poses to leave you feeling awake, clear and energized.

Awareness to the breath is directly related to physical & mental wellness by bringing more oxygen into the body to lower stress levels, improve lung function, reduce blood pressure and improve sleep. The more we breathe, the better we feel.

Alignment is also a crucial aspect of our state of being. An aligned spine provides a clear pathway for the body's subtle energy (prana or qi) to flow through. When subtle energy flows more freely, we feel more energized, clear and present.

Heart opening, or back-bending, postures energize us and awaken the spine by stimulating nerve endings all along it. In addition to providing energy, these poses have the potential to free us from the layers of protection we unknowingly have placed around our heart center throughout life's ups and downs. With an open heart, we are more easily and authentically able to connect with ourselves & others.

FRIDAYS at 5:45 PM

Begins on April 5th

YIN & TONIC

 ( 75 Minutes )

This is a slow flowing vinyasa (yang) practice sprinkled with a few passive (yin) postures.

Yin & Tonic is a slow flowing vinyasa class that includes warming floor work, sun salutations, standing strengthening and balance poses. We will warm up and move for the better part of class. Here and there, we will pause to rest, relax and target the connective tissues in the yin postures we take. Because this class is taught intuitively, yin postures may be introduced at any point throughout class.

This class (like all classes) is for all-levels. Anyone, at any level of experience, is welcomed to join. Modifications are always available.

SUNDAYS at 10:00 AM

ROCK ASANA

 ( 75 Minutes )

Dynamic movement linked by breath & infused with various genres of music to spice up your practice

With a focus on overall flexibility, core strength, alignment, & stabilizing poses to build muscular strength and stamina, Rock Asana will have you feeling more balanced, energized and strong!

This class will unfold similarly to Slow Flow in the way that it will gradually build from seated and/or reclined postures, move through sun salutations, standing poses & balance poses. Class will wind down with a series of relaxing seated postures and followed by a 10-15 minute guided relaxation.

Awaken & align your body with this 75 minute uplifting yoga practice.

Music will vary each week and range from soothing lyrical, conscious hip-hop, kirtan, folk, and more!

SUNDAYS at 1:00 PM

PLAY, PEACE & POSES

(45 MINUTES)

MUST PREREGISTER!

Ages 7-13

A yoga class designed with kids in mind

A yoga class designed for children is very different from an adult class that you might take at your local studio. It's filled with games, songs, stories, imaginative play, and activities that engage children and give them the tools to help them feel calmer, happier, and more peaceful from the inside out! In addition to the fun, there are also plenty of other benefits: Increases knowledge of the self. Promotes Relaxation and alleviates stress. Improves flexibility. Meet & Socialize with other children. A Great way to Channel Pent Up Energy.
