Flow Into Stillness
Vin Yin
This is an amazing combination and the best of both worlds when it comes to yoga!
Vin Yin (Yang to Yin)
Experience the duality of yin and yang in this 75-90 class. Expect to move through a series of postures & explore dynamic movement that benefit the mind and whole body, particularly the musculature. On the other end of the spectrum, explore stillness, introspection, and quiet. Yin offers attention to the whole body, mind, & specifically the connective tissues. This is a well-rounded practice intended to cultivate awareness of the breath, present moment, & nurturing the body in a kind, patient, and loving way.
The ancient symbol of yin/yang represents our dualistic world - the good & the bad, the light and the dark, the day and the night, male and female, up and down, etc.

Go WithYin
Yin yoga is slow, meditative, and offers the practitioner much time for reflection. Yin is suitable for any level practitioner and no experience required. Each pose is usually achieved while down on the mat and held anywhere between 2-5 minutes. The emphasis is placed on easing into the pose until resistance is met. From there, the muscles are softened and the body is very still. The stillness, softening, and amount of time each shape is held, allows access to deep, connective tissues (ligaments, tendons, fascia, and even the bones) that reside beneath the muscle.

Slow Flow
Slow Flow is suitable for all levels of practitioner and no experience is required. Slow, mindful movement from one pose to the next while following the breath. We'll begin with slow & steady and build from there. Class usually begins while down on the mat with gentle movements to warm the body. Gradually, we will come to stand and move the body through 1-3 rounds of sun salutations followed by standing and balance poses, warrior poses, and a variety of other strengthening asanas (postures).
